Pamela M. Pacetti focuses her practice on Family Law, Family Law Mediation and Collaborative Family Law and Divorce. Ms. Pacetti utilizes a holistic approach to family law matters and believes most family law issues can and should be resolved in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. The core of most family law issues deal with relationships. Legal principles provide only one factor in the approach to issue resolution. The creative and future-looking solutions reached through the collaborative process are more durable, valued and honored by the parties who design them. Court-imposed resolutions, on the other hand, provide limited results and often encourage on-going litigation. The collaborative process is particularly valuable to the welfare of children effected by their parents' decision to collaborate rather than litigate.
Ms. Pacetti is past Chair for the Virginia Collaborative Professionals (VaCP) and has served on the board of the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia (CPNV) since 2007. She is a member of Cutting Edge Law and works dilegently to increase public awareness of the collaborative process and expand the pool of trained professionals to meet the needs of families in transition.
