How to Manage the Emotional Baggage Clients Bring to the Collaborative Process

We all have stuff from our past that shows up in our behaviors and interactions with others.  It is no surprise that our clients, who are divorcing, have often struggled with difficult dynamics throughout their marriage and that those dynamics show up between them when they are navigating their divorce.  In this program we will be talking about the “emotional baggage” that clients bring with them into their divorce process.  We will describe what emotional baggage is and how it shows up.  We will describe ways to predict, name and manage these dynamics when they are getting in the way of progress so that we can help our clients move forward and get to the finish line.
