There is so much pain and frustration associated with ending a marriage, or negotiating custodial arrangements. Unfortunately, when you add lawyers and the legal system to the mix, the level of frustration often increases. While separation, divorce, and custody are still hard issues to tackle, if you choose the Collaborative Process, I will work with you as you create the solutions in your case. At the end of the day, you and your partner will be the ones to resolve the issues that need to be resolved - who will create solutions to the problems that now exist - and because of that, it is more likely that you will find it easier to live with those solutions. I look forward to working with you.

Upon first learning that training was being offered in our area in the Collaborative Process, I had the sense that this would be a turning point in my family law practice, and in the way so many people move through this difficult time in their lives. When I meet with clients for the first time to discuss the different processes that are available to them, I can see their relief when they realize that there is a way to separate and divorce that maintains a sense of respect and dignity for the family. Having litigated many cases over the course of my practice, I am able to say with confidence that the courtroom is not the best place to settle family law disputes. The Collaborative Process gives my clients tools to navigate through their separation and divorce, and to create durable solutions to their problems.
