With over 25 years experience in accounting, finance and taxes, I found that I wanted to apply my analytical skill set to a specific area where I could make more of an impact on those in need, specifically families going through a divorce. A divorce does not have to be a traumatic and confusing time for a couple where finances can often be a huge source of tension. If I can help the collaborative team with the financial analysis needed and reduce that tension, I can make a positive impact on helping couples come up with a resolution of creating two new healthy financial households that considers the needs of all those involved, particularly the children. Within the realm of the collaborative process, it's an easier and more fair approach with resolution centered around fairness and respect.

Collaborative Services

My solo consulting practice provides financial professional services in divorce and other family and civil law disputes. My experience includes providing financial assistance in a collaborative or non-litigated fashion with a focus on negotiation. My extensive background in audit, tax, accounting and financial analysis provides the perfect road-map for helping others navigate the financial implications of divorce. I also serve as the current Treasurer for the Virginia Collaborative Professionals (VaCP) as well as current Treasurer for Collaborative Professionals of Richmond (CPoR). VaCP is a non-profit association of attorneys, mental health, and financial professionals trained in the Collaborative Process. Using this process, interdisciplinary teams of professionals offer clients the support, protection, financial and legal guidance necessary to resolve disputes within a safe atmosphere of mutual respect without going to court. VaCP members bring a high level of skill, competence, and compassion in resolving divorce and other family and civil law disputes. CPoR is our local group of members including lawyers, financial professionals, communication coaches, and child specialists in and around the metro Richmond area helping families discover the benefits of collaborative solutions for marriage dissolution, child custody and co-parenting issues, division of assets, and more. We offer guidance, information, and respectful problem solving. We help clients understand how to better manage the effects of divorce on their children.
