TOPIC: Virginia’s Uniform Collaborative Law Act:  What it Means for Your Collaborative Practice

What does the UCLA say?  What does it NOT say?  Does it change the way I practice Collaborative law, or how I need to explain it to clients?  Do I need to change anything in my Collaborative Participation Agreement?  What about my engagement agreement?  How can I use the passage of the UCLA to market my Collaborative practice to the public and other attorneys?  Does this mean that I’m going to have Collaborative cases with un-trained family law attorneys?
